In which I make good with my readers
(I hope)
I Eat Paint has been somewhat neglected by yours truly. I just made a new entry (obviously), but mostly I made it because people ask me fairly reglarly when I'm going to update, and I'm tired of apologizing.
It's a nasty habit of mine, dear reader. No matter how fascinating, how captivating, how much I want to do something, there comes a point in which I just don't do it. In college, a friend of mine gave me a Chia Pet, and I eventually killed it by failing to water it. I'm just a neglectful person, plain and simple.
Sorry.
Halloween is in just two weeks, and there's no shortage of quality Des Moines-area activities to get your scare on.
- The Fleur Cinema is showing Rosemary's Baby this weekend, The Exorcist next weekend, and Dracula the weekend after that.
- Dan-D Farms has two corn mazes this year, and both are haunted on Saturday and Sunday nights. Seriously, these mazes are huge. To get a feel, look at the picture of Knoxville's 2001 maze, and realize that a decent-sized group of us fit in one of her shirt buttons.
- Finally, Lazer 103.3 has the low-down on all the local haunted houses and such.
I am planning on going to the Ames corn maze on Saturday, October 25th, and you are all invited. It's the day before daylight savings, meaning you get an extra hour of sleep in the morning, making it the perfect night to go out. I know there are quite a few readers in the Des Moines area, maybe even some I don't know, so I hope to see as many of you as possible there.
In a perfect world, Harry and Lennie would discuss software development.
