Corn Maze Details
Saturday, somewhere, some time...

So, after discussing with various people, and checking on the local weather, Saturday is definitely the way to go. As of writing this, Friday night is pretty much guaranteed to be a storm, Saturday night is pretty much guaranteed to not.

Anyone game for a little Corn Maze action tomorrow night? Tickets are $8 / person, meeting location TBA (somewhere in the Drake area), time TBA (sometime between 7 and 8). What/where works best for those of you who can come?

I'll be there in spirit. Just imagine a nerdy guy standing there trying to come up with the best algorithm to use to get out of the maze, and then imagine him getting utterly lost.

The last couple of years, we've employed a depth-first traversal algorithm. Essentially, you always take the first left, and turn around when you hit a dead end. Even more simply put, hug the left wall. It works so well the maze kind of becomes boring, so I'm going to discourage that this year. On the plus side, it can be handy to know exactly where you've been. I lost my keys 2 years ago, and because we had an algorithm, we were able to start at the end and reverse the steps, and we found them.
